
There are several benefits of yoga for your body. It doesn't just work with the physical body but it also works with the nervous and circulatory systems. If you pratice yoga regulary your benefits will increase. You will notice flexibility, better endurance, deeper breathing, a deep improvement in your mood, and also a great improvement emotionally. Yoga was used by traditional healers so they could heal emotional disorders and illnesses. Scientist have proven that yoga has numerous abilites and can prevent diseases by promoting energy and health. That is why we see more professionals helping their patients by giving them yoga positions to pratice depending on their mental and physical symptoms. The pratice of Asanas, is positons of yoga that help stretch muscles and build up bones and tissue. It balances out the physical and metaphysical parts of the body, massages the organs and helps with the flow of vital energy. The pratice of Asanas help the physical body by promoting meditation, relaxation, awareness, and concentration. Also as people get older their bodies become stiff; this is because our bodies have a tendency to collect more poisons like calcium crystals and uric acid. These poisons are found in diseases and what causes our bodies to become stiff, but if you pratice yoga regulary you should be cleaning the tissue by stretching your muscles. This helps remove toxins in a more natural way since the waste is going back into the circulation.
When I read, "Benefits" of yoga, I realized that there was more to yoga than just escaping into your own world. I always saw people do yoga on television, and I just assumed that old women did it to get away from their busy life for a while. I also thought it could have been a spirtual thing, but now I know that people do yoga for all different reasons. Also the article said that "Hard work can silence the mind, but has no power to alter or transcend emotional and karmic patterns held in the unconscious mind" (Benefits). I think this means that if you're stressed a lot that yoga is a good idea, so you can learn how to release those bad feelings you have when you become in the zone. I now think that yoga is an overall good idea and that it would be a great thing to do when i graduate college so that i can stay in shape and it will keep me out of becoming an emotional wreck.
